Transition Year students have had a busy and engaging term from midterm to Easter, taking part in a wide range of educational and interactive activities. Highlights included a forensic science workshop analysing the JFK case, a vibrant Chinese New Year celebration, and participation in The Bar of Ireland’s “Look Into Law” webinar. Students also developed key skills through improv and debating workshops, explored creative pathways at the Discover Digital event, and enhanced their writing through the Tenderfoot Writers Programme.
A number of students gained valuable career insights through initiatives such as the AbbVie Stepping Stones Programme and a webinar with Tallaght University Hospital. TYs also demonstrated leadership and community spirit by organising a successful cake sale in aid of Food Cloud. The term concluded with attendance at the inspiring “Leaders on Our Level” conference, where students heard from a range of motivational speakers. Overall, it has been a term filled with learning, creativity, and personal development.
